I just want to give a huge shoutout to the team at Sunshine Community Health Center in Talkeetna. Every time I’ve been there, they’ve been incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely caring. You can tell they truly care about the people in their community, and they go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and heard. My overall experience was a 3.5. There were 2 parts to my visit. P-1) The (M/A) who checked me in and did my intake seemed to be new to the position. They were nervous, but did well at being courteous and professional but could not pronounce any of my medications. I would rate them @ a 4 based on effort. P-2) My visit required a X-ray. This was performed by a different person. They also tried to be professional, but clearly were very “green”. I appreciate the professional & compassionate care I get every time I go here. I love that most employees are community members. Last time I needed their services I had a young health aide that I met when she was in high school with my son. She was in training and it gave me great hope for the future of our growing little clinic.
