Last week, my husband, 1 year old son, and I stayed on SGI for our 12th year. We have always used RVP and have had good experiences. This year, however, was very different. We rented the home Gayle Winds through RVP. When we arrived, we were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the home, especially during a time when we were told cleaning would be be stepped up due to the pandemic. We called the company and booked a house for a week. Called them mind you, not booked online. Paid $2,350 deposit. A week later they called us and raised the price by 50% and said that in their contract it allows them to raise the price. No thanks. Shady business and now we patiently wait for a refund. Look elsewhere for a vacation rental. I am afraid that this place is a scam.
I’m a travel agent and booked this for a family only to find the main TV not working, a slanted pool table, and no Wi-Fi even though I had called before booking and was assured there would be. Can’t go out and about due to Covid, and now they spent a lot of money on a cabin without activities. Also no a/c No air main floor bedroom, the China closet glass was broken when they came in Someone left their insulin pen in the chair in kitchen which tells me they didn’t clean and sterilize . Terrible management company. We arrived to a home that was occupied and not clean. They said they would need time to clean (30-45 minutes) which is not nearly enough time to sanitize etc. Trip is cancelled - avoid this management company at all costs
This is our 14th year on St George Island. We have stayed with Resort Vacation Properties 10 of those years. Over the last few years, the quality of vacation homes being offered has went down. The last three years the homes we stayed in were in poor condition and and needed repair for a lack of basic maintenance. The photos online are VERY old and do not match the current conditions of the homes. RecommendedWe made a last minute decision to work remotely from the beach for a couple of weeks, being smart and cautious about our public interactions....lots of ordering take out from our favorite beach restaurants and always wearing our face masks out and about. The Seachange Staff we’re super friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable, extremely responsive during our stay, and truly cared about our experience. I echo the sentiments around the employees being incredibly rude, I have found them to be accusatory and condescending. In addition, I would be very wary of working with them through the Airbnb platform, they clearly do not understand how the platform works and may end up leaving you vacationless.

Sadly due to COVID 19 complications we had to cancel our annual week at the beach. We are a family group (bother and sisters plus children and grandchildren), 7 different households coming from three different states. Some of us are elderly and some are medically fragile. We followed CDC and state travel guidelines to make the decision not to travel to Florida and have 20 people in a single location for a week!
