I moved in with my boyfriend in 2013. We were told we could park anywhere, even after we offered to pay extra to have a reserved spot. So we did so. Then, they closed down more than half of the parking lot because of "parking structure issues", yet they have done nothing about it for weeks. There are 15 floors, and 8 units per floor, so you can imagine how little parking is available. management can forget, but no help for the tenant who is late – Covered Parking is expensive, Office staff are unavailable evenings and weekends (when working people are off work). There is a galley instead of a full size kitchen. Few washers and dryers (and inconsiderate tenants who leave laundry in machines which could otherwise be used). Can't put boxes down the garbage chute, yet the dumpster is locked. Hidden costs await you at Sunset Towers. – Don't move here. They tell you one thing and give you another. It is a great view but that is where it stops. The parking is expensive there isn't much storage so you have to pay for extra storage. I pay $730 to live on the 13th floor but I also pay $10 a month to be billed and $20 a month for heating even if I don't use it. It's okay, but not great – We've had some problems with the management: capricious pet policy, passive-aggressive enforcement practices, and some failure to fix things in a timely manner. There are also some noise problems occasionally due to the UCMT dorms being located there. Covered parking is available, but expensive. Overall, we felt we were paying a rather high price for a strictly average apartment. Although it does have a great view of the city if you're on one of the upper floors.
