The historical Sunset Theatre, stemming back to the early 20th century, brings all the nostalgic flair and historical architecture you’d expect from this friendly town. Designed by Greensboro architect W. C. Holleyman Jr., he drew inspiration from Spanish Colonial Revival and Moorish palace styles for this movie house built around 1929. I was here for the MTTS event on December 11th, 2025 The venue gave me a feel of a movie theater that I use to go to as a kid, only difference is there is only one stage/screen. I felt that for plays or showing of a movie, the seating and concessions would be excellent. You really get the more of a classic feel to the venue.
Saw Oklahoma. We enjoyed the play and found the seats comfortable. Had not been in the theater for a long time. Look forward to going back.
