I applied at Sunset Apartments on The Plaza in Kansas City, Mo for an apartment although they state they do not have any record of it. I was denied and it was not based on anything but being of color. Maybe management has changed but this is my account of what happened.
If you are of color your application won't be approved, they will find anything to deny you. I Would not recommend it. No, I did not apply I had a tour with another person who did apply. This is Sunset Apartments on The Plaza.
I moved in a week ago, and this place is run so nicely with such strong communication between the leasing office and the tenants. The leasing office (Alita) has also gone above and beyond to make sure that I have everything I need! I definitely would recommend this place.
The best apartment I've ever lived in. Management, particularly Alita, and maintenance we're quick to respond and fix anything that came up. Space is wonderful and the location is great. You can hear people and cars on Roanoke. I was in a renovated apartment and it was perfect.
