I stayed overnight at Ojo and found a bed bug in one of the beds. The bug was inside the covers - I trapped it in one of the glasses and kept it on the nightstand for the staff to examine. I called the front desk to let them know about the situation and the man who was on staff that night did not seem alarmed or concerned. Underwhelmed. My friends and I do an annual trip usually around wellness resorts. We were very underwhelmed and disappointed with the service. The front desk service was unwelcoming. The property is huge and we had to ask to be shown around. Lorena at reception seemed annoyed by the request. Prior to booking our reservation, I had called about early check in and the pools. PLEASE READ IF YOU PLAN TO BOOK THIS HOTEL THROUGH THIRD PARTY AGENT BECAUSE THE HOTEL WILL OVERCHARGE YOU!!! I booked the hotel through Chase Travel and already pre-paid the full amount. At check-in, We were asked for a credit card deposit, which is a common practice. However, despite NOTHING being charged during my stay, the deposit was not refunded at check-out.
