Truly dissapointed in the management of this complex. Elaine is said to have worked here for years, Making me terribly concerned for the residents in that time. From our first interaction, she looked down upon residents, and is a compulsive liar with no ethical grounding. Not only were we told multiple stories, but our contract was mishandled by elaine and the then-leasing agent Carrie. This place is a dump. Literally smells like sewage and I stayed there for 14 months living on top of raw sewage from broken sewage pipes. I complained for a year and to code enforcement but nobody believed me they thought I was nuts. Then the other tenants knew about it and it’s been going on since 2002 and they wouldn’t complain about it because they didn’t want to lose their HUD. YEAH EVERYONE JUST KEEP GETTING SICK. DUH!!!! We moved!
Living here more than 2 years can't wait to move out.Maintenance doesn't do anything even if you call them they don't show up or they simple put you on the waiting list.Apartments are full with roaches and bed bugs.They know that and still do nothing.My fridge broke up today and they brought a new who was dirty and full of roaches and so I spend 2 hours cleaning it.It smells bad even after I cleaned it.I found some old milk and chinese sos inside.Pool is disgusting and every kind of people can come over there to swimm.Parkin... read more
The first thing when I got the apartment, it was not clean, the toilets where black inside, the carpet had holes in it, the kitchen was dirty and filled with grease, the water from the dirty water from the sink was going into the dishwasher, the fridge was not working, the A/C broke and flooded my apartment, the A/C was not working upstairs, the dirty water from the bathtub was flowing through my cabinets where I had my food stored. In trying to visit this complex I had to come back three times. The staff was showing apartments each time I arrived. This was very frustrating. This apartment complex is very expensive. They charge for water, sewer and trash but include internet and cable "in the rent". They also charge if you want a carport. They advertise that they have 1 bedroom apartments but they only have one. They charge pet rent. They will keep your deposit to "hold your apartment" and will keep it after 72 hours (did not tell me this) but put my ch... read more
Somerset Apartments are a great place to live... Clean, Quiet and easy to get to. I would recommend it to any one!!!
This place is disgusting. They have roaches and they know it before you move in. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!! Pest control comes out and bugs still are here. This is the worst place ever.
This is decent place and its owned by a single owner so they work with you vs a huge mgmt company. I actually got a brand new updated apartment with wooden floors and washer dryer; everything was new; so I am very pleased with my place. Plus this place is very family oriented vs other types of rentals I lived at. So If you OK with kids playing outside or a couple of dogs barking its a pretty decent place. This place is the ghetto in Jax. Used to be ok when we first moved in. Now since new management came in they are cutting corners everywhere. Grounds are always trashy looking and not kept...pools are dirty and moldy...noise levels are ridiculous...people use parking lot as conference center and auto repair shop. Kids run around without supervision all hours of day and night...this is by far the worst place I have ever lived since new management took over. I can't wait until my lease is up.
