I unfortunately have to update my review after a change in circumstance at Ivy Park. My dad had two falls in two consecutive days, we had decided to remove him from Ivy Park since they could no longer care for him. According to his nurse, each fall accelerated his late stage Alzheimer’s and our time with him is precious. Ivy Park at Palos Verdes is a very nice facility with apartment style living. The Memory care unit was just as nice as the other floors, they all look the same. I love how the Memory care unit did not have the hospital feel. It all had a home feel to the environment. My parents and I visited the facility, and they said when they are ready, that is where they want to live. The staff was very friendly and welcomed us all. The staff is very diverse. I love the feel of visiting Ivy Park.

I cannot express how grateful and appreciative I am to have my father at Ivy Park Palos Verdes. My father is in the late stages of Alzheimer’s and we have finally found a place to meet his needs. The care he is receiving is exceptional and it has put my mind at ease knowing he is in compassionate and competent hands. We unfortunately had to leave our last memory care facility and were denied admittance to another facility because “his care needs were too great”.
