Update as of 8/28/2020 Brandon from Sunpower did contact me, and luckily he was awesome and able to fix my issue remotely. It's to bad there is such a disconnect in the company still that they thought someone had to come out, but in their defense they did keep my appt. open for today 8/28 in case Brandon wasn't able to correct it. Unfortunately when we moved into the house developed by Florsheim Homes we had no choice in solar companies to choose from. After we moved in we were told a tech would come out to hook the system up. After 3 weeks the tech came out. He told me that one of the solar panels was not "plugged in". He stated that he was no longer allowed to do it himself. Been ~8 months and paid $18k so far. I have not had all my equipment yet installed and still no permission to operate (partially due to covid & partially poor scheduling with little to no advanced notice). Update: Looks like the system has now been activated remotely (yes they can shut you off/on like PGE) but we are operational now although the system is yet to perform to expected output, this is a start! I had two SunPower solar systems installed on this house. One was a prepaid lease and the other was a cash purchase. Each of them was around 3.3kWs. You can barely even see them on the roof and they produce enough energy to offset almost all of the utility bill. SunPower had the highest efficiency panels with the best warranty and a great dealer channel. I highly recommend to all my friends and family.
Great company, great products. I have been a customer since 2012 and have had a great experience with their product and service.
