The cancer treatment and Emergency department as a caregiver was dehumanizing and contained the worst experiences of my life. I would never recommend this ER. There are many nursing staff who are insensitive and cruel. The rare handful of kind staff are angels, such as the Spiritual Care team. The palliative care team make promises but don’t always follow through, which causes a ton of stress.

It was my first time ever going to ER. I was very hesitant at first to go to any ER as I had heard so many stories about how chaotic it can be. To my surprise, the ER staff including nurses, doctors were so kind, caring and reassuring.Since I was there early morning, waiting hours till you see doctor were around 2-3 hours, however, they did all my tests in one day and sent me home with medication after which I felt much better.

Professional Review Called to speak with Michelle, the secretary for Dr. Higgins, to coorespond over an issue with a mutual patient. She was wonderful and ready to jump in to assist. She is a very valuable asset to that office, don't ever lose her! Very sweet and kind!

The Brain Sciences Dept has some kind and knowledgeable staff, but despite the splashy marketing campaign, I'm left feeling it primarily exists to be an impressive line on a healthcare worker's resume. I didn't get the impression at all that that they're here to meet me halfway, work with me towards my recovery or help me learn how to manage my daily living challenges.
