Almost 20 years ago, in November of 2000, I was diagnosed with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). My family doctor referred me to Dr Mahajan. He explained he had “bad news and good news”. The bad news was that I had leukemia (APL); the good news was if I could keep it away for at least 2 years, it would PROBABLY never come back!
