I had high hopes for Suncoast Empath Hospice. What I got was surface-level compassion, zero urgency, and a devastating outcome. My mother was dismissed when she showed clear signs of a UTI. By the time she received antibiotics, she was already septic. The meds they gave her were meant for an early-stage infection. A dose so low that is was completely ineffective and did nothing. Where do I begin? The facility is clean and the rooms are comfortable, but the staff is what truly matters. I cannot thank you all enough for the care, dedication and support that my Dad and family received. We got to know everyone very well while we basically camped out in Dad's room. The Nurses, CNA's and support staff were amazing. They helped us navigate the waves of grief and all of it's challenges. Michelle P is such a blessing. I came to her in hopes of getting some help with my grief after my mom passed. I look forward to seeing her every few weeks and she always seems to have the comfort that I need at the perfect time. She's very easy to talk to and be vulnerable around. I don't know what I would do without her. She's truly an asset to Hospice and I'm sure she has helped so many the same way she has helped me!
