FIND A DIFFERENT FACILITY!!!! I can not stress this enough, my daughter has been there for a month and a half, they call me today and tell me she's being discharged they can not help her. ONE WEEK ago when I spoke with the doctor he said he was going to work with her increased her meds and if that didnt work he was going to try something else. Clearly, he lied. It was great when I was there as a kid... What idiot thought it was a good idea to remove the adults from Suncoast? Now we have to go to centerstone where they can care less about your health just want to collect a bill. At centerstone people are walking out people are bringing in weapons and stuff because they're not paying attention. It's a joke. So thank you Suncoast for making children more important than adults mental health
Suncoast Behavioral was a great choice for my daughter.. I was reluctant because of the previous reviews, but our personal experience was excellent! The admission process was efficient. The psychiatrist,, nurses and techs were very kind and patient. The therapist, Antonio, was outstanding! He was able to connect with my daughter and made much progress in a short period of time. My daughter also had an excellent experience with the teachers.
This place is incredibly unprofessional and negligent. The psychiatrists don’t know what they’re doing, they put me on medications that counteracted each other and my outpatient psychiatrist mentioned those meds are not supposed to be mixed as it can lead to organ damage and possibly serotonin syndrome. Not to mention I was jittery so I was moving in circles and one of the staff told me I look autistic and another staff took away the gowns I was using as a jacket to punishment me. It’s 65° in there.
