Overall, I have to give this facility a failing grade. Communication and collaboration with parents is absurdly poor. My child was an all likelihood harmed more than helped during their stay here. They are fond of using restraints while creating an atmosphere of punitive frustration which appears to exacerbate the symptoms they're supposed to be addressing. FIND A DIFFERENT FACILITY!!!! I can not stress this enough, my daughter has been there for a month and a half, they call me today and tell me she's being discharged they can not help her. ONE WEEK ago when I spoke with the doctor he said he was going to work with her increased her meds and if that didnt work he was going to try something else. Clearly, he lied. It was great when I was there as a kid... What idiot thought it was a good idea to remove the adults from Suncoast? Now we have to go to centerstone where they can care less about your health just want to collect a bill. At centerstone people are walking out people are bringing in weapons and stuff because they're not paying attention. It's a joke. So thank you Suncoast for making children more important than adults mental health
Suncoast Behavioral was a great choice for my daughter.. I was reluctant because of the previous reviews, but our personal experience was excellent! The admission process was efficient. The psychiatrist,, nurses and techs were very kind and patient. The therapist, Antonio, was outstanding! He was able to connect with my daughter and made much progress in a short period of time. My daughter also had an excellent experience with the teachers.
