this place is just... no. it breads a very violent environment just straight up, i even had a tech tell me "good job" once because i did something to a patient he didnt like very much which is just?? something a person in that position should never do. NONE of the people at this facility know how to recognize someone going nonverbal or getting overstimulated in the slightest. nor do they know how to handle it, i would be treated like other by the doctor for it, and straight up punished for it from techs making write ups, if ... read more

They will not let my daughter talk to anybody. Her outside provider wanted to transfer her to someplace else. When is told them they said get a lawyer if I wanted to do so. After the baker act is fulfilled they called me 30 mins to ask of it wanted to vonatry keep her there or invonatry keep her there. But I only have 30 mins to disided.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!! My experience with Suncoast Behavioral Center was absolutely heartbreaking as a parent. On multiple occasions I was told I could pick my daughter up, only to drive an hour to get there and then be rejected at the door. Do you know how defeating that is—not just for me, but for my child waiting to see her mother? There were days I called five times just to be transferred to a voicemail.
