They are not transparent about their charges and the ways in which they code procedures. The staff are not willing to work with patients to determine what procedures will and will not be covered by insurance. The Sunbury Medical staff were rude, unprofessional, and not on the side of patients.

I strongly advise against visiting this office because they have have clearly shown me dishonest billing practices and a disregard for the best interests of patients. In my last three visits, I have received two billing statements that contained errors -- one even claimed I received a procedure that never occurred! I was forced to go through an enormous hassle to resolve the situations because the office staff refused to acknowledge that errors had occurred. They discriminate against you if you have MaineCare. They only accept wealthy clients that can afford great insurance. So if you are lower middle class, working poor, or on SSI then Sunbury obviously cares nothing about you. Also I used to use them back 10 years ago and a few of the nurses were rude to me and one of the phlebotomists was terrible. I said a loud "ouch" once and she said why did you say ouch.
