If this is “setting a new standard” for psychiatric care, it’s a harmful one. I was forwarded an email by Bridget Forrest, from my previous psychiatrist, Deborah Moore, calling me “manipulative.” accusing me of not taking responsibility, and implying that I was being dishonest about my situation, simply because I reached out to her to ask for help or guidance when I didn’t know what else to do at that moment and felt that she was the only one I could think to seek help from. Steffan Weiner gave me hope that I could get well. After suffering an incorrect diagnosis and a raft of medications from another psychiatrist. Steffan listened carefully to me and correctly diagnosed my condition. Then he did DNA testing to see with which medication I would be compatible. He never forced me to make quick changes in my drug schedule. He responded graciously to my emails, always getting back to me within one day. I have my life back.
