Recommendedwe've been here during the summer and winter, it's amazing! Christmas at sun mountain is magical! the Christmas eve sleigh ride is magical! I'll never forget it! it was 6 degrees, snowing horse and sleigh, bells, singing Christmas carols, a little wine ,MAGIC, thank you for the memories.
RecommendedThis is one of my new favorite places to stay!! Beautiful views and accommodations, delicious food and really friendly staff. The Cascades are less than an hour away. I’ll be back next summer for hiking and kayaking.

Really is beautiful, views,staff gift shops wonderful. The water smell is an issue. Suggest you bring some bubbles or salts for your bathtub � Plus drinking water. Basic rooms are basic. Top dollar rooms are wonderful.
Sun Mountain Lodge is a beautiful location! If the customer service matched the beauty, I would absolutely recommend anyone to visit. The restaurant staff could use some training and the food is worth the view, but definitely has room to improve. We just went for breakfast, so perhaps it is a different story with lodging. The BEST service we had was with a young man at the horses. He went above and beyond to “discover and delight” my nieces.
I planned a getaway for my wife and I and reserved a room. We arrived by car around 6pm with nobody at the front desk. After waiting 10 minutes for someone to show, we were greet by a front desk person that seemed very unhappy about having to work. He told us that the lodge was booked to capacity. I told him that we had a reservation. He shuffled some papers and said he found it. He put us in one of the cabins 2 miles away from the main lodge.
