Dr. Sun is a wonderful, talented doctor. I was referred to Dr. Sun by my GP, who also had her colonoscopy with Dr. Sun. She told me that he is the best, and I agree. He is kind, patient, and he is someone I trust. Also, his office staff is great.

In 2022, I went to this surgeon for the surgical treatment of a pilonidal cyst using the cleft lift, or Bascom, procedure. He assured me he was an expert and had even found a way to improve the procedure. He seemed very kind at first, and I trusted him, so I decided to go ahead with the surgery.However, when I woke up, I discovered that I did not receive the cleft lift procedure as promised. Staff was professional and friendly. I only saw Dr. Sun the day of the surgery. Surgery went well and healing was relatively easier and faster than expected.
Dr. Sun and his entire team, office and surgical, are amazing at what they do. They are simply excellent and we won’t go to anyone else.
He may be a good surgeon but he is not a nice person. His ego is so big he seemed insulted when I asked for my mental health medication after surgery. By denying my med I had to cold turkey detox, a dangerous game to play with my health. I have had 4-5 abdominal surgeries and have never been treated so poorly. Patients beware!!!
Firstly, all of my encounters with Dr. Sun & his entire team have all been professional yet personable. Communication regarding my diagnosis & subsequent treatment was clearly explained to me in a manner that was easy to comprehend, making me feel more at ease with my diagnosis of stage 3 rectal cancer. I was really looking forward to my appt. but Dr. Sun was like Alec Baldwin in Malice. Thinks he is a god. Clueless in so many ways, herbal medicine, diet, pain management. He is clueless about medical cannabis and judges those who use it instead of opioids for pain and cramping without suggesting an alternative.
