On a referral, I went to the Warren office on July 11. As I was checking in, they asked for my insurance card and my driver's license. I gave them my insurance card but asked they why they needed my drivers license. They said they wanted to keep a copy in their system. When I asked what they needed that personal information for, they said it was for the insurance billing. I have been waiting THREE MONTHS for my appointment with this office. They are listed "in network" by my insurance company. They sent me a 10 page form which I filled out and returned. They emailed and texted me multiple times telling me about their covid procedures and when to arrive for my appointment etc. Now, 48 hours before my appointment, again after waiting 3 months, they left a text message saying they do not take my insurance. Excellent staff and the doctor was awesome. Unfortunately, the aftercare information was tailored generically to wisdom teeth patients and I was having a extraction and post put in. I followed all procedures stated in the information I was given....but avoided brushing the actual post until my follow up...I was Informed that was a mistake. I am now on additional medication to address the infection I have. I feel a more clarity regarding aftercare for implant patients is strongly needed and led to my current situation. Dr. Thomas as a surgeon is awesome. But I am going to warn you DO NOT under any circumstances ever use the lab they suggest especially if it is the brother of Dr. Thomas. They are the worst lab ever!!!! The denture they made to be attached to my implants started to fall apart after 3 months of being placed in my mouth. Teeth fall out of acrylic, pieces break off, the bottom line is very simple their work is horrendous!!! can't even bite into a piece of toast without teeth breaking off from the denture.
