Great location w/ views of a busy harbor during the day and golden hour sunsets. The evening hours featured a sky line similar to a European city w/ lit steeples and towers. A friendly owner, a comfortable home with all your needs provided. Close to Rocky Neck with artist studios/ galleries open to public as well restaurants with excellent menus.Recommended - The Salted Cod Art House. This is a characterful and beautifully (and newly) renovated unit. It is very well equipped, has very nice furnishings, and the decor is extremely nice (a lot of care has been put into the character and appearance of this unit). The owners live next door and were very prompt with help and supplies. The information provided is clear and gives very helpful tips for enjoying your trip. Gloucester/Salem get away October 2022 This apartment was wonderful! Very clean and incredibliy well built. Sofas/beds were quite comforable, as was the entire space. Just a few minute drive into Gloucester (which we loved walking around), 30m to Salem. We spent an entire day exploring Cape Ann, including Rockport and Halibut Point , which is quite the gem. Linda was very helpful with recommendations and reservation quite easy. Was more $ than we typically spend/night but worth it and would ablsolutely stay here again!
My party of four spent a week in August in this cottage and I can’t say enough about the entire experience. The cottage is IMMACULATE and roomier than it looks in looks in pictures. It is very well stocked, plenty of starter necessities (paper goods, dish soap, detergent), kitchen items (dishes, glasses, pots, pans), linens and towels. AND everything we needed for the beach (beach chairs, beach towels, cooler, umbrella and a beach cart). Gorgeous cottage with a view. We visited in October for Halloween and fell in love with Summerwind Cottage. The location is very convenient for exploring. The cottage was very clean, and decorated with local art. Linda was easy to communicate with and gave us great local recommendations. We can't wait to visit again!
