He starts your therapy with about an hour interview discussing your problem. The next session you start your exercises, usually starting with the treadmill or stationary bike for warm then doing specific exercises that Sumit thinks will help your problem. His staff, who are friendly , guide you through the session . They provide a small bottled water, so I suggest you bring your own. There are usually 2 sessions per week. He does not provide handouts, so bring your cell phone so one of his assistants can photograph you doing... read more

Sumit and his staff genuinely cares about his patients. He has the gift of evaluating his patients and setting up exercise programs for his patients. He set up an exercise program to help me with my gait balance. I was walking with a walker my legs were very weak. In 3 months I was walking with a cane. My doctor sent me back to MPTA for more PT. Sumit re-evaluated me and said my legs were getting stronger. I asked him if I could walk without the cane. He said, yes but he would have to push me. I do my exercises daily . I am ... read more

Dr. Gupta as well as staff were the friendliest health professionals I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. I felt less like a patient and more like a part of a small family when I was there. Dr. Gupta genuinely cares about his patients and wants to see them improve and he is there every step of the way, encouraging and checking in. I hurt my hip slipping on ice at work. First, Sumit's team jumped through hoops working with OWCP so that I could get the treatment I needed.- (Worthy of 5 stars right there if you know what a mess that system can be.) My pain Doctor recommended this clinic, I had my doubts as I had been to a couple with little success. Sumit spent time listening and put together a plan. My pain is significantly reduced and I have not felt this strong in years. I recommend them.

I enjoyed every single time I was able to visit Michigan Physical Therapy Associates. Sumit is the most attentive, empathetic, and compassionate medical professional I've come across. He cares very deeply for all of his patients and makes sure he's doing everything within his power to help them.
