My daughter was in the car accident when she was merging onto a ramp. Another car came off the shoulder in front of her and my daughter hit the driver on the corner light of her driver side. I understand that paying for a tow bill is not something people look forward to, however when vehicles are towed in, it is up to the owners to pay the bill. The father of the vehicle owner called and threatened to shoot our employees and burn our building down. The Harford County Sheriff had to be called to diffuse the situation. The vehicle was an older car and they did not want to file a claim with their insurance company. We offered to have them pay the minimum to sign the car over and they refused to do so. The receptionist there is a flat out liar. My vehicle was brought there after an accident. I did not get a choice in destination. When my insurance tried to have my vehicle towed to the repair shop they refused to release my vehicle unless I came in-person. My insurance said that is highly unusual and I agree. I asked why it had to in-person she said it was Maryland law. When I asked which law, she said it was the company's policy. This company makes it impossible for residents to pull the car from their garage. The reason behind is that they can keep the car longer in their garage to collect more money. They won't allow the customer to pay with a credit card?? in todays world most business and customer operate digitally. We do accept credit card payments but we do not accept payments over the phone, if the card is not present or if the card is not in the owners name. Sometimes if a vehicle owner is behaving inappropriately we would also require cash, as on several occasions customers have filed a fraud claim against us for the credit card charge. We accept credit cards from many customers on a daily basis. We also do not "Keep" cars for extra days. We are open Monday-Friday 8-4 and by appointment on weekends from 9-12.
