Dr. Sullivan operated on my bunionette 20 years ago, and it went smoothly. I returned to him for a bunionectomy on my big toe. His staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. They even lied to me. Regretted my return to him and ended up with another surgeon.
I am very happy with the professional care I received from Dr Sullivan, Dee Barnes and staff. He was recommended as "the best" by my WC attorney. He was always pleasant and explained things well. The biggest complaint I have is with the hours of availability. The last appointment is for 3:30. Sometimes I could get a 3:45 but had to absolutely be on time. At first, I was teaching close enough so I could get there right after dismissal. However due to the nature of my injury (I was a patient for 10 years) and change of job loc... read more
I've been a patient for over 15 years and he's really done a lot to relieve my pain. He's very shy and reserved but really knows ankles and does his best to fix the issue. He takes the time to go over options, x-rays, and doesn't hold back about possible outcomes. I think he's great and truly cares about his patients.
Dr. Sullivan is a respected Doctor in Connecticut. In particular he is highly recommended by the workers compensation commissioner here. I found him to be more of an old school physician in that he prefers to keep you in a "need to know" state of knowledge about your condition. If you are the type of person that wants to be involved in your treatment and know the details, I would look elsewhere. He's a very pleasant guy though.
I first saw Dr Sullivan in 2005 for issues with my right ankle. He was the only physician to diagnose me accurately and provide solutions to proactively manage my pain until I was comfortable having my ankle fused. Do to extreme discomfort I scheduled an appointment to see him again for an assessment. Needless to say I will be having surgery and I wouldn’t go to any other physician. Dr Sullivan is compassionate and very understanding of my concerns as a busy mom of 2.
My broken ankle needed surgery and I chose Dr. Sullivan based on my doctors recommendation. His staff and his expertise were outstanding. There is no doubt in my mind that I would chose Dr. Sullivan and his Farmington, Ct. staff in the future if needed. Each time I went back to his office for follow up appointments I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff of professional people. Thank you for a job well done.
Dr. Sullivan's staff mistakenly sceduled me for an appointment at the Hartford office on a day when he was at the Farmington office. I was in a great deal of foot pain and offered to go directly to Farmington to see the doctor. I was told that Dr Sulliivan allows 15 minutes for patients to arrive and since the trip took more time than that, he would not see me. I was surprised by his lack of compassion and his inflexibility. Kathleen Kiernan
Dr Sullivan, his P.A. Diane Barnes, & all his staff were very curtious, informative, accomodating, understanding and a great medical group to work with. I felt well taken care before, during, and after my surgery. I would recommend his medical group to anyone.
