RecommendedRafters in Callicoon hosted our wedding reception. It was over the top and an awesome value. Brewster offered us options way beyond their menus with baked salmon and roasted veggies 🌽. They closed the place for 4 hours of open bar and fantastic service. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough for a social event, dinner or just 🥃 drinks.
Its natural beauty, its lakes, rivers, fishing, the New Water Park, renting a log cabin in the woods. And especially The Craft Room B&B which has a 5 star rating on Bookings.com and AirB&B
That it is coming alive again. I grew up t here when we had. three grocery stores. movie theater, hairdressers barber all on main streets and of course Teglers store.couple of banks and a few others, drug , liquor store and of course the r iver to swim in and hang off tire from the bridge. know its not possible to go back but it is depressing to see how far it had slid in past years.
There is no better getaway from city madness than going “mountain climbing.”Those mountains are the Catskills in Sullivan County. Towns such as Bethel,Callicoon,and Narrowsburg top the list.You want swimming too ? The Upper Delaware River provides the cleanest,freshest swimming experience you can find,in addition to canoeing and kayaking.At night,sitting around a bonfire by your campsite is the best way to relax,bar none.Sullivan County has numerous places to enjoy all these great Summer adventures.Definitely worth the trip.

My whole life has been vacationing in the Catskills,either camping,motels,or hotels.Love O’Sullivan’s in Lake George,@ Halloween,they bring firewood to the log cabin,& pets are allowed 💝❤️👍☮️♎️
