Totally agree with last review. She is quick to get exam over with if you can even call it that. Don't blink or you'll miss that she was even in the room. She always seems to have somewhere more pressing to be, even treating nurses in this manner. Her "treatment" or lack of has had near fatal consequences several times in the last few weeks. Looking elsewhere for a GP. Her nurse practitioner is the only reason we stayed as long as we did. I'm guessing the glowing reviews are really for her.
Contrary to what’s been said here, my husband and I both had the same experience- on separate occasions-each on our own. Very short to come up with a diagnosis without listening to your chief complaint. Basically, you are spoken at not to. Where I come from, the patient needs to provide you with an issue it is not proper for you to jump to conclusions.
Dr. Kona was very caring. She listened to my concerns and acted upon them. I am very pleased she will be my primary doctor while we are in FL. My appointment was not urgent so I did not comment. I was a new patient so I had much paperwork to fill out. Dr. Kona's nurse was excellent also.

She listens and explains what she is doing and why. Very caring.
Very thorough and pleasant demeanor
A very knowledgeable physician, very personable and always upbeat and positive in her manner , listens to her patients and is appreciative of their input. Keeps medications to a minimum, doesn't over prescribe. I should never want to lose her as my physician. Spends as much time as patients need, moves quickly but never rushes you.
Always so friendly and understanding. Does everything herself and not sending you to see a specialist unless she can not do it or for tests. The office is very clean and well staffed. Explains everything very well. She is just great to be around and so is the office staff.
