Specialties Wedding Cakes, Cupcakes, Authentic Italian Gelato, Coffee, and Gelato Martinis! All of our cakes, gelato, and pastries are made daily in our store! History Established in 2012. In 2008, Sugarland opened it's Chapel Hill store at 140 E. Franklin St. After four successful years, the addition of Sugarland in Cameron Village is giving Sugarland the opportunity to share our cake and gelato in both Chapel Hill and Raleigh.

Sugarland never disappoints me in the texture of the buttercream, the great balance in flavours. It is also never too sweet! They have very creative choices, and they never use buttercream as their cream filling. Some bakeries are lazy enough to do that - yes, I know it's gross. Their eclairs are also amazing, light and filled with "real" pastry cream. It is very difficult to make pastry cream right, and they've been mastered the art. Oh, the simple things. I ordered a caramel iced cake for a dear friend and she told me it was just like she remembered from her childhood (She's 93 years old). The flowers were exquisite. The whole thing was beautiful. I will come again.
