I loveee sugar braid!!! They are always so welcoming and accommodating even with walk-ins. They pay attention to your hair and really make sure you’re getting what you want. The boss is also super sweet/knowledgeable and helps with anything you need. I’ve NEVER been disappointed by my hair from here so plz don’t hesitate to go!!!

I had an amazing experience at Sugar Braids located in downtown silver spring. I was looking for a braider to install knotless braids on my 6 year old daughter and found I was blessed to have found them. Ms Lori the owner is awesome and very accommodating. Fatima, my daughter’s Braider is excellent and performed immaculate work. She is meticulous, fast, and the finished product is exactly what I hoped for. I have an autoimmune condition that has caused significant hair loss over the past few years, which deeply impacted my self-esteem. Going from long locs to a bald head was not easy. I do normally like SUGAR BRAID. I’ve been coming here for some time and they always do a great job. They actually grew my hair out. But my last visit I got small medium knotless and on the website it said $230. Once I finished getting my hair done, they said it was $300 and that they need to update their website. How is that my problem that the business’s website isn’t updated? And now that I’m reading other people’s reviews, it seems like pricing is inconsistent for a lot of customers. I been getting braids for years but this time I went to Sugar Braids for Senagalese twist. After about a week my hair starting frizzing up really bad. In my opinion, resolving this issue would have entailed a complete refund or redo that involved tucking my natural hair. However, I did not have hours available for take out and re-twist. So I just kept my usual maintenance routine and gave my hair extra attention on days that I needed to look more polished. However, I did not anticipate the damage that was ahead of me. Af... read more
