I don't know who the H-E-double hockey sticks is giving this place anything below 4 stars, but my experience was absolutely a 5.5 out of 5. 10 out of 10, would highly recommend and would absolutely go here again if ever in Galveston. In fact, my girl even shouted out this coffee shop on her FB. Absolutely adore this spot. Our coffees and muffins were superb
I gave Sugar Bean another try, hoping my first visit was just an off day. Sadly, the experience was much the same. The barista, different from last time I was here was still cold and unwelcoming. No smile, no greeting, just a transactional vibe that doesn’t match what you’d expect from a cozy neighborhood café in Galveston.
