If you are looking for a friendly and cost efficient propane supplier, DO NOT go with Suburban Propane. I was a Suburban Propane customer for 12 years. Every year I called to ask for them to re-adjust my rates as the price this company charges for propane is astronomical! Every year they adjusted my rates which is kind of concerning that they could make adjustments if I called; when they probably should have been billing me MUCH lower initially. Worst company I have ever dealt with. They arbitrarily add charges to your bill. They showed up day before Thanksgiving to install a gas stove and told me they forgot about a permit so they couldn't do it then sent me a bill for over $500

The absolute worst. If you are trying to make a decision about a propane service, STAY AWAY! I am paying these crooks for the last time - their fees are ridiculous and explanations of them change from day-to-day depending on who you speak to. When they can't get their story straight, it's hard not to feel like you're a victim instead of a customer. Our community pulled together and got Natural Gas to come here. Thank goodness I can be done with them forever! Wish I could give them negative stars.

Had an appointment for a tech to come out and give us a quote. Waited at home all afternoon for someone to show up, called at 1:30 and they said to give him until 3:30 and if he didn’t show up by 3:30 to call back. He doesn’t show up so we call again and apparently the tech never saw the appointment, we asked if he could still come out today and the answer was no and we would have to wait until tomorrow. Canceled the appointment and will find another company.

Maybe we got lucky based on the other reviews here. We called them when we bought our house, and they switched the account to our name. Came out the next day for paper work and to see what we had. The guy even showed us how to use our fireplace since we never used one like that. Then the next day to deliver propane. Didn’t seem unreasonably high being used to electric and natural gas pricing for heat. We were told it would probably last all winter and it certainly has. The dudes were cool. No problems so far.
