This is the worst company with horrible customer service. I’ve had my tank with them for less than 2 years, and I only use propane for a gas fireplace, so my usage is very minimal. I was just charged $142 for only 9 gallons of propane because of a so-called “propane minimum bill” that I was never informed about. When I called to ask what happened, I was told that I “should have known” because it was in the agreement I signed. I had a very frustrating experience with Suburban Propane. Every time I managed to get in touch with their customer service, I encountered rudeness from the representatives, which made the whole process even more unpleasant. The wait times were also excessive, sometimes up to 30 to 45 minutes just to reach someone. And when I finally canceled my service, the representative never confirmed that the cancellation was complete. She just said, "have a good day," and hung up on me. I’ve been waiting 7 months for them to come and pick up their tank! They say they will call me back, but never do! They are 4 miles away from our home. They asked in October if it would be okay, to wait until January. I said yes, that would be fine. Now here it is May, they said it was scheduled for July! This is a big company that doesn’t care about its customers! Our ex-customer! I’m not a complainer, but this is ridiculous!

They billed me for $5.31 a gallon for propane while all their competition was charging less than $4. When I called them on it, they were medically able to knock the price down. Avoid Suburban if you don't like price gouging.

Very helpful over the phone. I spoke to Lois who seemed to genuinely care about my situation even though they couldn’t provide the service I was looking for.
