Recently dealt with an appraisal completed by Su Casa Appraisals for a transaction in Groveland, FL, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. The biggest issue was not even the final value itself — which was only $5,000 by the way, but it was the unwillingness to genuinely consider a well-supported appraisal rebuttal and local market evidence that was provided afterward. A full-price offer on my home was nullified due to an appraisal issue related to our solar panels. Despite the known value addition of solar panels, the appraisal company claimed they were unsure how to properly assess them, which ultimately led to the deal falling through. This lack of competence, in my opinion, reflects poorly on their professionalism and dedication to their job. I would advise seeking a different appraisal company with a better understanding of how to accurately evaluate properties with solar panels.
