My experience with Dr Mavec has been really good. He did a colonoscopy and endoscopy(spelling). I have been there two times in last 10 years and everything has been perfect. Dr Mavec and his team are professional and friendly.
To start off front desk staff called me Mr since they couldn’t read the drivers license or other paperwork that was either in their hands or in front of them. Then they called me Randall because again they couldn’t look at all the documents they had in front of them. Next we are going to put an it in the crook of your elbow so you can’t bend your arm within causing pain & of course it’s my body & I know how things work in my body & I didn’t want the huge bruise that I always get when people insist on putting an iv in a bend.... read more
Dr. Mavec was rude and inconsiderate when I had to call and get relief from an allergic reaction to meds prescribed by someone in his group. He was the doctor on call but did not even bother to give me a script for another med. He told me to stop taking it and call the office on Monday, then cut me off mid sentence and hung up on me even though the antibiotic regiment was not supposed to be interrupted. He was not interested in my well being.
I had a great visit at Gastrointestinal Associates (Endoscopic Imaging Center) in Overland Park. Wonderful, helpful staff! Dr. Mavec is caring, kind and he answered all my questions and concerns. I have been to this imaging center twice now and had an excellent experience both times!
One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a doctor—go to ANYONE but this guy.
I had trouble with prep. NO ASSISTANCE PROVIDED. Put on my record that I did not prep properly. Didn't care about me, just interested in moving to next patient.
Excelllent care and he showed genuine concern about me and my health.
I had a colonoscopy on 3/19/21 and I must say it was a very pleasant experience. I do not understand the negative reviews. Facility, staff and Dr. Mavec were kind, friendly and professional. Plenty of time was spent explaining what they were going to do and I was always asked if I had any questions. I would absolutely recommend them for your GI care.
I was diagnosed with fatty liver disease and was very afraid after finding out that diagnosis. Dr. Mavec calmed my worries and gave me suggestions to prevent my disease from worsening. He was not judgmental about anything. He was factual and to the point, but he delivered his concerns with warmth and care. All the things you want after finding out such a thing.
