I spoke with the husband and wife team at Sturdy engineering on the phone about doing our house plans. They asked me to email an idea of what we're thinking to them and they'd be in touch with an estimate. After sending them two emails one with our ideas, and another to see if they had received the email (days later) I have not gotten a response back. I guess they do not need more business. No matter the reason a quick reply to let a potential client know what's up is the polite thing to do.
