I got three bids and Stumpy's was right in the mix. Scott called me back quickly and arranged for a grind time. He arrived on time and knocked it out in an hour or so. He told me he'd grind 8 inches below grade and take care of the roots. He ground out everything in a 6 foot diameter around the tree stump. And I would bet he went down at least 16 inches below grade! With the massive grind area, the ratio of chips to dirt was low.
