I’ve gone to this place twice and both times ive been catered to, my wants from my hair respected, ive felt listened to. The owner of the salon pays so much attention to your hair, it’s unreal. She’s also very friendly, anyone would have a good time.

Barbara is a wonderful stylist and did an amazing job with my haircut. She listens and takes into account the small details. I had a great conversation and experience. It is a little pricey ($55 for haircut and shampoo) but would recommend if that doesn’t bother you. Definitely the best experience I have had in Houston.

More than a salon or a barbershop, Studio 21 is a part of the fabric of Houston. There’s no one like Barbara. She and her son Kirk literally invite you into their home and give you a great cut but also conversation and fellowship and genuine care. Enjoy the easy jazz and the fair prices (how did men’s cuts get to be $50-$60? Absurd) and get to know a good neighbor. Plus you can walk across the street and go to Nonna’s after for a pie.
