I went in for the first time a few days ago for a gel pedi. The young woman was not friendly and didn't smile once. There was one other staff in there and she was asleep next to me in one of the other pedi chairs. The pedi itself has been pretty good so far, but the service was not great. I also asked for a quick cuticle-only mani, which they happily accomodated but they charged me $25 and all she did was use the sanding tool to remove some of the cuticle. Absolutely the best experience I ever had with mani and pedi combo, done gently and professional at once by Chloe and Kim. Kim also waxed me and she makes you feeling the less pain she can and she very meticulous in doing it. A very great job as a result of all of it! The process was also reasonable and it took about an hour and half. I was actually happy to tip them since they’ve deserved it.
Studio 16 Beauty Salon is genuinely one of the cutest, bubbliest salons I’ve been to. The whole space feels so Vancouver!! Playful, stylish, and welcoming the second you walk in. From the fun exterior to the bright pink interior (and the “Treat Ya Self” neon… obsessed), it’s such a vibe and honestly just makes you happy to be there. Kim was great. She gave me a pedicure and was fast, gentle, and efficient. I will return.
I got acrylic nails done with Kim and I really love them 😍☺️she is very detailed, pays attention in filing the nail and polish, Clean work👌🏼.
