Unfortunately, the wonderful student staff and university faculty that work here cannot overcome the terrible reality. It's not their fault, but the SRC is an unacceptably dilapidated facility with broken equipment that has screws fall out as you use it, out of order equipment that never ever gets replaced, let alone even serviced. The weight room feels completely neglected. It’s dirty, poorly lit, lacking equipment, and nowhere near large enough for the amount of students at UNC. It doesn’t matter what time you go, chances are everything will be taken when you get there. Also, it feels like every couple weeks another piece of equipment breaks and none of it gets fixed.
