The absolute worst customer service. Depending on who you speak to its always a different answer, then told to email and they still dont do as requested resulting in multiple unauthorized payments being withdrawn then waiting weeks to get your money back.
My Daughter applied for a student loan refinance at Risla with myself as the co-signer to the loan. The process was smooth and straightforward. Don't do this one! I can't even pay online. Their website won't let you create an account to pay off your loan. I have to call the night before to give them a heads up that I can only pay over the phone. If you can pay then, even if they wanted to take your money (and I swear they don't want you to even pay a penny on it), you can only do it over the phone. That's my experience. It might be different for someone else, but I can only pay them over the phone and their websites are shit. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
Since RISLA only reports to one credit bureau (Experian) it makes it impossible to build credit across all three credit bureaus. When I asked if they could update this information across the other bureaus they flat out refused and stated that they are only required by law to report to one even though many other student loan companies agencies report to all three. This is essentially poor business practices that affect their customers credit in the long term.
