Dr. Michnick has been incredible over the 18 months I have been under his care. He did surgery to remove faulty hardware from a broken ankle injury performed by a different ortho surgeon in Dallas. He bone grafted the area after removing the hardware. My pain is way down, my mobility is back, and I can live my life like I did pre injury for the first time in 2.5 years. Dr. Michnick wants to heal his patients, not just treat them. THANK YOU!
I'm sad to say my experience was mediocre at best. I only saw Dr Michnick once, at the consultation. He assured me if the surgery was in Oct I could go skiing in March so I bought a ski pass. I trust the surgery went well, but I don't know yet. I've never seen Dr Michnick again, only the PA, Sarah. She is a nice person, but did nothing to address my pain, a suture abscess, loss of range of motion, excessive scar tissue etc. She told me she'd write an RX for a Tens machine to address the swelling but didn't do so. I badly sprained my ankle for the third time in April 2024, and I visited Dr. Michnick two weeks after the injury to assess the damage and figure out next steps. I'm in my late 30s and have injured this ankle each decade since I was 14, and Dr. Michnick listened to my concerns, my hopes for recovery, and offered clear options going forward.
