Dr. Cherney and I spent the first few minutes of our first meeting speaking of similar stories shared from our youth related to sports injuries and how they impact you later in life. He then performed a thorough inspection of the injured part of my body my right shoulder and made recomendations based on his decades long career in orthopedics and sports medicine. It was a pleasant experience. The doctor was very compassionate very kind.
Dr. Cherney an staff were very pleasant and patient as well as helpful, they took the time to answer all questions and concerns. Also gave thorough explanations when needed. Once again I am impressed by Stoney Brook medical staff and happy to have them care for me and my family.
The place is beautiful the only problem with had to wait an hour appointment was at 2:00 p.m. got called in at 3:00 p.m.
If you care about punctuality avoid Dr. Cherney. He had me waiting 2 and a half hours for an appointment, I wasn't notified that he was running so far behind at check in and if I did I would have left. My second appointment I wait 30 minutes before demanding to see the practice's manager.
