What a wonderful experience – We found Stroud's on the Man vs Food website and we thought it would be a nice, new opportunity to experience a restaurant potentially off the beaten path. Wow were we right and in for a treat. Stroud's North has a wonderful ambience and decor that add to your dining experience. The ability to wander the 18 acres of land that they possess was an extra treat. The wait was estimated at 45 minutes, but we were able to be seated within 20. Good Food Strouds has some of the best food around. I'm not overly fond of the 'home style' way the food is served. When we go out to eat, I would prefer to not have to pass bowls around the table to dish out food, that is something I can do just fine at home. Everyone in the family has a favorite. The service is typically very good and the prices are moderately reasonable. The restaurant is clean and homey.
Wonderful FOOD Oh my they have the best food. Love the fried chicken. Portions are big and very tasty, Food melts in your melt. Never have had anything I wasdisappointed in. Go hungry because you won't be able to resist the food. NIce atmosphere , you can walk the property and enjoy the stroll whileyou wait to be seated. Go early as they arevery biusy and there is a waiting list. Would like to see the establishment bigger to accomendate more but other then that a major thumbs up.
Never miss when in town... – Huge helpings and good value. Had the filet, and it was cooked medium to medium well perfectly! Great sides, inc. green beans and a killer chicken noodle soup! I tried the chicken as well, but I'm still sold on the filet. And always ask for some more rolls and a doggie bag just before leaving! Make for a great treat at home!
The Best!!! – Stroud's is the definition of satisfying comfort food! I have never had anything that wasn't wonderful. I have eaten at The French Laundry and as great as it was, and I would rather eat here anytime. And Dennis is a supremely gracious host. You have to experience it to believe it. Legendary pan-fried chicken--and more. – The Scene Stroud's is a classic chicken joint with huge portions, great food and good value.
