Great Quality and selection of lumber and building materials.
I heard that this place had better quality lumber. I was very disappointed in the quality of the lumber they sold me. It was splitting, splintered and warped. One of the 2×6s was even a quarter inch wider than the others. I ended up paying my contractor more to find some better boards than I saved by going here in the first place.
Decided to try Gene Stringfield for the first time but wish I hadn't. My wife went down there to ask a couple of questions and they were all eye rolls and talking down to her. She went to Jerry's after that and their staff was super helpful. When I crunched the numbers from both, Jerry's was $40 more for the entire project, for the time that they took, I'm more than happy to pay a fraction more. After going to Gene's my wife said to me "I hate being a woman". I'm ashamed that in 2024 there is still so much misogyny in my tow... read more
