I thought Street Roots was a really great organization with a really great mission- and on the surface they are. They talk a great game about their progressive stance on a variety of social issues. Unfortunately, the blemish on their record is that in cases of family violence, Street Roots chooses to assist the abusers, not the victims. This organization actually allows their vendor office at 211 NW Davis to be used by the abusers to threaten the physical safety and even the lives of the victims.
