I have been having trouble reaching orthopedics ***** Left messages 3 days and no call back. I am suppose to have surgery scheduled but no one will call me back to tell me the date/time. Tried to make an appointment with my physician, but the scheduler has never called back. Calls coming in are routed to a call center because the front desk is too busy. 3 days and I still haven't heard anything. Sent emails to doctor...nothing. Guess this is the way business is done now days at Straub.

*************************, bone specialist in ********, ****** shouldn't have his license!. I took my Father to see him, as his leg was hurting. ****** sat there with no expression, looked and sounded like he was tired and bored! NO personality! He said to go and get the lower leg xrayed.We did that and nothing showed up.My Father since moved to a different state and still had the pain, only worse! My visit to the ER on April 10th was a waste of time and money. I had sever stomach pain. The only thing they did was a urinalysis and give me some liquid concoction to mask the pain. Eight days later I am terribly sick and in pain. Thanks Straub, I'll have to figure it out and treat myself.

I had to step forward and sign to move mouth tube but the reason wasn't to relieve stress on mouth but to eject patient to home across island. His heart had stopped when he was across the street from firehouse in Manoa. The man we called "Tata" needed an implant to prevent recurrance and death but was released and shipped by ambulance to Waipahu home. Got loving care there but died after his heart stopped again. When I heard my grandmother was admitted to Strub Hospital on South King Street. I thought it was going to be like any other hospital. but my first few days of learning about the hospital and observing the staff that works at Strub, I was touched emotionally by how the way the staff treated the patients. And the way they took care of my grandmother was great. Now I know where to go when it's my time because I know i will be taken cared of.

I felt a lump in my b. I knew this would be my third Lump, so I told my doctor to that to set me up with a mamogram and ultrasound at Straub. He only set the mamo. (mistake 1) I was told by Les the radiology Manager(who has no medical knowledge, only adminstrative prodecures) that the films from my other two lumps need to be matched and reviewed against the latest mamo.
