Two of the most challenging things I’ve learned in life, especially for me, are recognizing when to seek help and overcoming the urge to procrastinate and write reviews that need to be done. Over the past year and a half, I’ve been fortunate to have Nena as my therapist. She’s been incredibly kind, patient, and has created a safe and supportive environment that has encouraged me to confront and address the daily challenges that life has imposed on me.
She started counseling my abuser about 2 years into seeing me off and on. I begged my abuser to find another therapist. She didn't yet know of the abuse, but she knew they were my partner when she started seeing them. When I told her a story of my abuse her response was, "if that is how it happened". Fast forward, during a civil battle with my abuser she (on record) gave myself diagnoses she never discussed with me. This was later corrected by my psychiatrist, doctor, and years of records. Strategies for Life counseling has been such a blessing to me. Nena is one of a kind. She is patient, understanding, and always so encouraging. She provides me with the tools that I need to grow and allows me to become in my own time. I can genuinely feel her happiness when I discover things that she’s so patiently waited on me to see! She is a gem.

I was so happy when I was able to book an appointment, and virtually at that, however I was then super disappointed. I never got the email with information I was promised. I called and left a msg the morning my appointment was scheduled for( since it was for that afternoon and I hadn’t heard anything) and never got a call back. As of today, Still haven’t gotten any communication. Such a let down.
