Great scenic Rail Excursion . Fun for both families and Rail fans. Headed with the unique BL 2 engine.
What fun. Everyone is very nice & friendly. The train ride was incredible. We were happy to be there the day 611 was in town from Virginia. We have a great time & will continue going as often as we can.
The staff, the ambiance, the steam engines, and the old rail cars together with the Red Caboose Motel make this trip truly worth the effort to go to Strasburg. An added bonus the Pennsylvania RR museum with its collection of rolling stock long past and short past. All together the three attractions make this section of Lancaster County a must for all.
train station and riding a train
I drove all the way from Virginia to see the 611. The day I visited the Strasburg, never was I once disappointed. If you are a railfan or want to get into trains or railroading in general, I highly recommend to visit the Strasburg Railroad.
Great destination - for both young and old! Don’t miss the Pennsylvania Railroad Museum (across the street) or the Toy Train Museum just down the road. It’s a train-lovers’ paradise!
I enjoyed learning about the 611 Steam engine, riding on it as well as blowing the whistle. Great family fun.
this was our 2 visit if u love Steam u would love it
We had an awesome evening on the wine and cheese tour. Highly recommend it.
