As someone from Himachal, I can truly say Straight Outta Shimla (S.O.S) serves the most authentic Himachali flavors I’ve found outside home. The food instantly reminded me of celebrations back in the hills – warm, comforting, and packed with tradition. The Himachali Dham was absolutely spot on – soulful and true to its roots. We got siddu, momo and patrode, and I was so excited to try the siddu for the first time! Wow, it was amazing! I haven’t had patrode in ages, and it felt like eating homemade food. I would suggest they consider increasing the quantity of patrode; it was a bit too thin. I’ve had it back home, and we usually have a big patrode with thick layers. The taste was great. I highly recommend this hidden gem! I’m not sure how my sister stumbled upon their Instagram page, but we ordered it the very next day. Thank you so much
Tried SOS for the first time and the food was slightly disappointing. The veg Momos were a 2/5, the taste was bland and the chutney with it was the most disappointing. It was like watery tomatoe purée. I was trying the siddu for the first time, it was alright - didn’t have anything to compare it with.
The entire experience from finalizing the menu to delivery was indeed outstanding. SOS truly met all our expectations of serving authentic Shimla delicacies with 'made at home with love' feeling. I think this is the only place in Brampton where tou can get Siddu and Kukrez. Also, their Kachori and Patrode are awesome. Their momos are also very good.
