As someone from Himachal, I can truly say Straight Outta Shimla (S.O.S) serves the most authentic Himachali flavors I’ve found outside home. The food instantly reminded me of celebrations back in the hills – warm, comforting, and packed with tradition. The Himachali Dham was absolutely spot on – soulful and true to its roots. I have eaten their momo, Siddu and kachori again today. All were delicious. I also had the opportunity to try their new dipping sauce, which is typically served only with paneer momos. They kindly provided it on request. I hope they begin serving this dip with other dishes as it was exceptional. They followed my instructions carefully, which I greatly appreciated. I enjoyed the opportunity to savour authentic and renowned Himachali Siddu in Canada. It is a worthwhile destination for Himachali food enthusiasts.
The entire experience from finalizing the menu to delivery was indeed outstanding. SOS truly met all our expectations of serving authentic Shimla delicacies with 'made at home with love' feeling. Got the Momo & Siddu Feast and it was the best way to experience what Straight Outta Shimla is all about. The Siddu (steamed bread stuffed with almonds, walnut and poppy seed) was something I’d never tried before - soft, savoury, amazing with ghee. The momo were perfectly steamed with great filling and tangy chutney. Together, they’re the perfect introduction to Himachali cuisine. Highly recommend if you want to try something unique!
I love it , just came here to try sidhu from Vaughan , it’s worth it to come , really good taste , feels like I am eating in himachal . Momos I will give 3.5/5 but sidhu is 5 star .
