If I could give Str8line Fence and Deck Company no stars or even a negative star I would do that. Kurt Kontor built a new deck for us, but the stairway is steeper than expected. We ordered and paid for a second set of rails so it is safe. He cashed the check the day we sent it to him and he said he would install the rails as soon as they came in. Put a "DO NOT CROSS" ribbon across this business driveway! Do not enter into a contract with Kurt Kontor or str8line with any expectation of a professional relationship. He did not follow any stated timelines and has failed to send me a court ordered refund on deck rails I paid for over one year ago. He has not responded to texts or emails for months. Definitely not Nebraska values or ethic. Based on his past integrity a person can find many other worthy companies to complete their deck or fence than Kurt and str8line.
Was told I would have the estimate back the same day. Ended up having to call them the next day at around 2 to ask for it. He said he was working on it and would have it sent over "within the hour" still nothing very unprofessional
Str8line Fence put metal railings on our deck and widened our stairs to accommodate the new railings. The owner was very responsive throughout the process. We originally hired another company that never showed up to do the work and after waiting 8 months we called Str8line Fence and we are glad we did. We now have a zero maintenance deck and we couldn’t be happier with the resists. I would definitely use this company again for future projects.
