Absolutely one of the worst experiences of my life I was taken here by an ambulance after experiencing a spinal injury x-ray provided proof I was there for a serious problem I was left on a cott in the hallway for 27 hours no food and 1 glass of water my medication prescription where submitted to CVS where wrong and it's been 3 days so far and still no medication I have called the hospital everyday trying to rectify the issue with the CVS and the empty skull club at the hospital keeps making mistakes writing a prescription I... read more

Awful hospital. They forgot to send my father with his prescribed antibiotics when he was discharged to rehab. He became septic and was transferred back to Stony brook. He then developed an eye infection and was transferred back to rehab with his eye medication. He passes out in the wheelchair , goes back to Stony Brook……useless, disorganized, inept hospital.

I don’t know why people choose to come to this hospital as their first choice. They show no compassion whatsoever ever to patients and also family members who are worried about their loved ones. The nurses I have come across with show no sympathy and I get it, you are just trying to do your job and move along but at least show that you care, that you understand how we are feeling, and not make us feel little.

I want to apologize to Stonybrook for the threats and the trauma that I had caused because I was angry, scared, and in pain. I deeply regret the things that I said due to the frustration of people not believing me. I should have taken the appropriate channels to communicate to people about any concerns that I had instead of lashing out.
