Dr Ozbek is wonderful. She is so knowledgeable and thorough. She checked for auto immune disease and other concerns, She is compassionate and even has a sense of humor which is so hard to find in a doctor. But more importantly, she truly is a professional and understands auto immune diseases with a vast knowledge. She is truly terrific, HIGHLY recommend

I've had to search high and low to find this practice on Google. I know them as Stony Brook Internists, previously located at 26 Research Way, and recently relocated to the old Sears store at the Smithaven Mall. I had to find a rheumatologist that my health insurance covered, and Stony Brook Interists was the only place local to me. Upon making and arriving to my first appointment, everything was fine; phone reception and check in. However I had a 8:20a appointment and I was not put into an exam room until 10a. While the doctors I met seemed probably competent and reasonable, the dangerously run office is terrifying. Phone calls are NEVER returned; mandatory prescriptions are NEVER refilled. In a true medical emergency or with real,and important medical concerns, patients would be forced into hospital ER’s as it is impossible to reach any medical staff. This horror show should really be shut down.
