I took my son here for detox just last wed. His bac was too high, so we went the emergency room at l&m hospital. After twenty four hours, I took him back to stonington institute. The woman at admissions was very short and rude. She wrote my name and phone number on the back of his hospital discharge papers and said if he had to go back to the hospital, I would be the emergency contact. I have read each and every review. 60/50. I hope to God  it's not all that bad as stated in some of the negative reviews. I have a relative that was sent there from first step seven day detox today and he's an older male who is alcoholic and I'm very concerned for his safety from some of these reviews. However, I'm hopeful that the Institute will do the right thing.
